Flagstone WalkwaysA beautiful, natural, and affordable way to add texture, color, and functionality to your home.
Flagstone pathways lend themselves well to serpentine (curving) and irregular shapes.
Properly Built on a Compacted Stone FoundationThis image shows the basic construction style used. (The flagstone is not pictured here.) The soil is excavated down to a depth of about 5 inches. Brown, powder-coated steel landscape edging is installed to be flush with the top of the ground. Three inches of stone aggregate (ABC crush and run) is installed and compacted, followed by a layer of woven fabric to keep the clay flat over the years, then sand, flagstone, and pea gravel.
