We are proud to announce we will be donating, delivering and installing organic screened topsoil to the new vegetable gardens going in at the Novant Presbyterian Hospital Child Development Center!
The kids will get to learn about gardening wth tiny garden tools and watch their own vegetables grow! The facility was very happy to have found someone to fill in this final missing piece of their project. (3/9/2016)
Did you know there are plants that can make you and your landscape feel brighter with color? The Winterberry, or deciduous holly punctuates winter with its showy berry display. Some cultivars to look for are ‘Sparkleberry’ or ‘Winter Red.’ The branches can be brought indoors in the winter and used for wreaths or crafts and the berries will last for many months. In order to get the bright, red berries, you'll need a male within 50 feet or so. The Southern Gentleman is a great plant for this and one plant can pollinate many female Winter Reds.
I spent January 19th & 20th attending Techo-Bloc's Contractor Showcase Event for 2016 and meeting with representatives from PaveTools, Hulton Tool Company, and SiteOne Landscape Supply. I learned more about the science and business of hardscaping and acquired samples of new 2016 styles and colors. We are all very excited for the upcoming year! ~ Todd
